Manny the elephant is a story, written by my son Antony and illustrated by my son Matt. The elephant who lost his balloon is a story about a baby elephant that lost his lovely red balloon, and he asks the other animals to help him to find it. Its a lovely story and the illustrations are beautiful. So beautiful that, at the request of my grandson Asher, i’ve made the main characters into sterling silver brooches.

This brooch is of Calf, the baby rhinocerous who is one of the main characters in the book. Made from sterling silver and then dipped in liver of sulphur to give the grey of a real rhino.
